Frances Liotta The director of Yogamat, Frances has been a dedicated practitioner of yoga for 23 years. Trained originally in the Iyengar method and later in the Ashtanga System she has travelled to India to study with Mr Iyengar in Pune, India and Shri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. A respected teacher in the yoga community, Frances has been teaching for over 15 years.
Nikki Fulford (Authorised) Nikki has practiced yoga for over 20 years. She began studies with Dena Kingsberg in 1994. As part of her training the following year she travelled to Mysore India, which has become an inaugural part of her ongoing yoga studies. She has been teaching at Yogamat since its foundation.
Catherine Jackson Having practiced yoga for many years, Catherine’s concentrated study of Ashtanga yoga began in 1992. After an inspiring trip to Mysore, Catherine began teaching Ashtanga Yoga and has been teaching at Yogamat since 2000.
Eliza Johnson Eliza completed her initial teacher training at Centred Yoga in Thailand. She furthered these studies with an additional two-year yoga teaching and Applied Anatomy and Physiology course. Regularly travelling to Mysore India to practice Ashtanga yoga.
Melissa Knapp Melissa began practising Ashtanga Yoga as a form of rehabilitation after a car accident that resulted in severe back pain. She trained with Paul Dallaghan from centred Yoga in Thailand and later studied with Angelika Knoerzer at North Sydney Yoga. In 2003 Melissa began teaching yoga and has since studied with Sharath Rangaswamy both in Mysore and Byron Bay.
Jonelle Mullings Jonelle has been practising Ashtanga yoga for 8 years and teaching for 5 years. She’s studied with Shri K Pattabhi Jois (Guruji) in India, Sharath Rangaswamy in Australia, India and America and continues her practice with passion and integrity.
Nathan Passmore A long time practitioner of yoga Nathan began his journey of Ashtanga Yoga with Dena Kingsberg in 2000. His teaching has taken him around the world to places such as Europe, America, and Asia. He's now returned to teach in Sydney. Nicole Sceresini Feldenkrais classes piqued Nicole’s interest in movement. She had always been intrigued by practices which heal the body so the discovery of Ashtanga Yoga was a natural progression. She has attended classes with Shri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, and Sharath Rangaswamy in Australia, India and America.
